There’s a Storm Coming

There’s a storm coming.
My soul’s been abused.
My body is numbing,
My mind has been bruised.
The thunder is boiling.
The heat’s bearing down.
The clouds are now broiling
Across the old town.
There’s an ominous yellow-black
Stain down the well.
There’s a sharp, snaking tailback
Drawn through the fells.
You’d better go hide
For your own stupid good
When the dark eats the sky
And the crumbling banks flood.
