The Mirror Lies

me-close-up-002

The mirror lies. It’s way off track.
I just don’t recognise the face inside
These days that’s always staring back.
I never have. It’s out of line.
Those baggy eyes, that massive nose,
They’re someone else’s. They’re not mine.
It must be warped. I’m not that fat.
This isn’t how I look when it’s not there.
The damned thing’s fucked and that’s a fact!
