Light Speed

light speed

We jumped to light-speed,
Two streaks of coloured vapour trailing through the well of night,
The silver drumlins, moon-kissed clouds,
Torn into shreds as, burning bright,
We raced across eternity,
Then paled in the morning light.
Shake out those dreams from tousled heads.
Tonight we’ll make stars ignite.
