I’m so horribly tired I’ve slid down in my chair.
Now my knees are above me, and every hair
On my head aches. I’ve spread
Like a starfish, deflated,
And filled up the crack down the back of the cushion,
Exhausted and pickled. I’m not fit for nothing.
I don’t have the strength left to even pick up
My congealing coffee and take a slow sup.
I should go up to bed,
But I’ll wallow instead,
Watching ‘Not Going Out’ for the third time tonight
On Dave. It’s not funny. It’s humour done light.
I’m too tired to laugh, anyhow.
I’ll just stay here resembling a long dead sea-cow
All bloated with gas. Perhaps later today
Greenpeace will turn up and drag me away.
